NEW HOME

So as some of you may know I've packed my boxes and moved to Leeds. I've been here for about 5 weeks now and safe to say I am loving the city and my new job. Something I'm also loving is decorating the flat, I can't stop buying little bits to add to it...I think it's becoming a slight problem (but a problem I enjoy so thats okay right?).

I didn't have a specific theme in mind, well I did and it was just patterns. I am mad for a print and the more the better. I have to admit I do spend hours on Pinterest scrolling through gorgeous pictures of minimalistic, monochrome interior, but when I see the colours and prints I can't stop, so that was not going to be a realistic interior choice for me. I've decided to create a 'gallery wall' but it is still 'under construction'. I found fab pictures and prints on Etsy but thought the price-tags were quite unrealisitc. So off I went to Paperchase. The two smallest prints are postcards with the mere price tag of 60p - pop them in a frame and there you go. The same goes for the script like writing and the pineapple picture (these are cards at around £2.50) - I just added striped paper to the background and framed. VoilĂ  a gallery wall for the fraction of the cost!

INTERIOR CRAZY

Well now I've entered the real world of 9-5 I've suddenly turned into a middle aged woman fussing over interiors! It makes such a nice change to be in a flat that isn't classed as student, but professional and it is much more modern (and warm) than my previous flat in Newcastle. I can bin the fluffy bed socks now, thank god.

This is just a tiny, weeny, minute proportion of all the home items i've purchased and i'm sure homeware is going to be a regular on my blog now!

ZARA AW15 WISHLIST

ZARA AW WISHLIST

If anyone knows something about me it's that I am obsessed with Zara. People never need to ask me where something is from as it is most likely Zara!

I've put together my current wishlist and I am so so excited by the autumnal tones! Summer dressing is just not for me, hurry up winter.

I've already picked up the 70s striped culottes as for £19.99....it's rude not to. Next on the list is the suede two piece.

SHEARS YARD

So yesterday was Declan's 23rd birthday, and the third birthday we've spent together (aw/ew). We decided to give Shears Yard a go as we always walk by it on our way into town. I don't know what it is but I'm very much drawn in by the huge slab of concrete marking its entrance, can I have one!?

Anyway, we opted for the fixed price menu as the options sounded delicious and with the offer of 2 courses for £14.95 we couldn't say no. I had calamari which was seared as opposed to battered making it so much tastier! Then the pork belly for main, yum. Dec had pork terrine then a fancy lamb curry complete with flowers, fancy.

Well, as you may have seen on Instagram I'm going a bit interior crazy with our flat so I was instantly eyeing up the amazing lights and decor!

We then headed to the new pub the Lamb and Flag then finished the evening with a spot of scrabble playing in Stew and Oyster, how old are we?!
